Thanks to Cadwyn Clwyd, we can now serve our USA customers more efficiently and professionally from our Ruthin office.”

Autoventive Ltd, based in Ruthin, Denbighshire, provides logistical IT Services to the automotive industry.

The company was founded in 2017 by Gareth Hughes, CEO, and primarily works with clients in the United States.

As a small business, Autoventive faced rising manufacturing, energy, and general costs while struggling to recruit the right people in a highly specialised market.

They also incurred significant expenses traveling to the USA whenever a customer issue arose. This is where the funding worth £15,411.32 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, administered by Cadwyn Clwyd made a substantial difference.

The grant allowed the company to invest in high-end conferencing equipment, enabling them to create a dedicated conference room, with enough space for several workers to meet clients and potential clients online.

Gareth Hughes, CEO of Autoventive, said “We are already seeing the logistical and financial benefits of the conferencing facility. While staff still need to travel to the USA for essential deployments, they no longer need to make the trip for general meetings or group training sessions.

“Directors can now communicate with potential customers directly from our Ruthin office, eliminating the need for all initial meetings to take place face-to-face in the USA.

“If a customer in the USA encounters a problem, it often requires input from up to five team members here in Ruthin. Thanks to the new conferencing setup, we can all participate in a call simultaneously, ensuring clear communication without crowding around a single laptop.

“We are also seeing significant environmental benefits from the grant. Our annual CO2 emissions from travel to the USA have been substantially reduced.

“Additionally, it has made internal staff meetings, training sessions, and even social events easier to organise, without the need for external venues.

“Long term, this has brought environmental considerations to the forefront of our ways of working. We’ve integrated greener practices into our daily office routines and continue to build on these efforts.

“With this facility, we can now serve our USA customers more efficiently and professionally from our Ruthin office.”
