Connecting local businesses with practical support, expert guidance and opportunities to grow.

Practical support. Local expertise. Clear next steps for Denbighshire businesses. The Denbighshire Enterprise Network brings together start-ups, small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs through accessible sessions that build confidence, strengthen skills and open up new opportunities to grow.

Inspiring local enterprise:

The programme takes business support into towns across Denbighshire, helping people feel more informed, more connected and better equipped to act on their ambitions.

About the Network

The network supports people at every stage of their business journey — from testing a new idea to strengthening an established business. Sessions are practical, friendly and focused on real challenges such as marketing, online sales, cash flow, technology and planning for growth.

Sessions Delivered

Each session focuses on a priority area identified through council feedback. The programme is designed to be useful, local and action-focused — combining expert input, peer learning and signposting to further support.  Click here to find out more about the sessions.

Building Confidence Through Enterprise Support

The Denbighshire Enterprise Network programme has been shaped around the issues businesses themselves identified as priorities. Digital marketing was the highest priority, with 26% of respondents requesting support, while cash flow was the most cited business challenge at 37%. The sessions therefore focus on practical, high-impact areas where targeted support can help businesses become more visible, more resilient and more confident about growth.

The programme also recognises that many businesses are ambitious but need accessible guidance to move forward. Only around 20–30% of businesses currently use e-commerce, only 12% are actively planning to expand, and many town centre and rural businesses face pressure from reduced footfall, rising costs and changing customer behaviour. By taking support into towns across Denbighshire, the network makes business development more local, more relevant and easier to access.

Key impact points: Digital marketing was the highest priority training need, cash flow was the most cited business challenge, and many businesses have ambition but need practical support to turn plans into progress.

  • Digital marketing and online presence: social media strategy, local SEO, budget-friendly content creation and turning online engagement into sales.

  • E-commerce and digital sales: online shops, selling platforms, digital payments, customer journeys, logistics and introductory CRM systems.

  • AI for sales and marketing: practical updates on how businesses can use the latest technology to save time, improve communication and support sales activity.

  • Financial management and resilience: cash flow forecasting, scenario planning, managing rising costs, pricing for margin and short-term resilience planning.

  • Business planning and market expansion: building confidence to plan ahead, identify routes to new markets and move from survival mode towards sustainable growth.
