Lesley Griffiths AM, the Welsh Government Cabinet Secretary for Energy, Planning and Rural Affairs, visited Corwen on May 17th to officially open Corwen Electricity Cooperative’s hydro-electric scheme.

The aim of this project was to raise awareness of the importance of dark skies across a range of environmental and social factors and to make an assessment of the quality of the night time skies across the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB.

As part of the Outdoor Sector Training Pilot to test a new approach in outdoor activity training a waterproof, practical field guide to the unique habitat and wildlife of Llangollen Canal was created.  

This is a feasibility study to determine the possibility of producing a bespoke Point of Sale system for outdoor providers, B&Bs and other partnerships groups in North east Wales.

How would you feel about an all weather, nature inspired learning and discovery centre in Llangollen? Would you visit while on local walks, while visiting the railway, or take your children/grandchildren there?
