Helping businesses invest, innovate and grow
The Local Growth Fund (LGF) in Wales is designed as a regional development investment programme to support productivity growth in areas with catch-up potential and address economic inequality in areas of deprivation. In doing so, it contributes to the Welsh Government’s economic mission to strengthen productivity, raise living standards and support more balanced growth across Wales, including directly contributing to the Welsh Government’s national productivity goal to halve the productivity gap with the rest of the UK within ten years. It can achieve this by supporting business growth, the creation of better‑paid jobs and the strengthening of regional economies. Through the Local Growth Fund, Cadwyn Clwyd is delivering two projects providing capital grants to eligible start-ups, SMEs and trading social enterprises in Denbighshire and Flintshire to support investment, productivity and growth.
DENBIGHSHIRE
Funding Available
Three funding strands are available
Start-up & Early Growth:
- 70% capital grant up to £7,000 (minimum grant £2,000)
Growth, Expansion & Innovation:
- 70% capital grant up to £35,000 (minimum grant £7,000)
Social Enterprise Growth:
- 90% capital grant up to £35,000 (minimum grant £9,000)
What can be funded?
Examples include:
- Machinery and equipment
- Digital technology
- Product or service development
- Energy efficiency improvements
- Low-carbon technologies
- Business expansion projects
Who can apply?
Applications are welcome from:
- Start-ups
- Micro, Small and Medium Businesses
- Trading Social Enterprises
Businesses must be based in Denbighshire and meet the programme eligibility criteria.
FLINTSHIRE
Funding Available
Three funding strands are available
