Community groups benefit from the first round of wind farm funding

The Brenig Wind Ltd panel are pleased to announce that the following 14 groups have been offered, and accepted the Brenig Wind Ltd Community Benefit Fund Grant (round 1: October – December 2019):

Applicant: Cyfeillion Ysgol Carreg Emlyn, Clocaenog (afterschool club)

Description:  15 Ipads for after school club and community groups in the area

Grant Amount: £3,780.00

Applicant: Clwb Beicio Hiraethog

Description: Electric bike purchase for community health / cycling group

Grant Amount: £6,897.00

Applicant: Nantglyn Community Council

Description: Contribution towards a feasibility study for the construction of a new village hall

Grant Amount: £3,000.00

Applicant: Neuadd Goffa Bylchau (Bylchau Memorial Hall)

Description: Refurbishing floor / toilets in Community Village Hall

Grant Amount: £8,524.60

Applicant: Llyn Brenig Sailing Club

Description: Contribution towards a feasibility study for the construction of new facilities for the community club

Grant Amount: £3,800.00

Applicant: Ysgol Pant Pastynog Community Participation project

Description: To re-ignite children, young people and adults in nature and its local area whilst learning new and useful skills – equipment purchase

Description: Training and equipment for foot care practitioners, targeting the elderly and socially isolated
