Cadwyn Clwyd is looking for a new Director from rural   Flintshire to sit on its existing Board. The role requires the attendance at quarterly meetings overseeing the running of the company and its management of contracts and projects.

Cadwyn Clwyd Cyfyngedig is a Rural Development Agency that provides guidance and support to develop and diversify the rural economy in Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham through EU funds, UK domestic funds and private sector funds. 

The Company focuses on actions that stimulate grass– root participation, partnership working and innovation to support projects for rural communities and sector groups. It works directly with local communities to assist in the development and implementation of projects that benefit the area’s local economy.

It has six Directors, from the counties of Denbighshire, Wrexham and Flintshire. The Directors are drawn as representation from the community/voluntary, private and public sectors.

Its current portfolio of programmes and contracts include:

  • Rural Development Plan Projects, including the LEADER scheme in rural N.E. Wales.
  • Brenig Windfarm Community Benefit Fund
  • UK Government Community Renewal Fund.
