The Local Action Groups in rural Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham have funds available to support community enterprises, charities, formal community groups and public sector organisations in rural areas of Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham to enable them to adjust their frontline community support in the context of the of current and ever-changing Coronavirus outbreak. These funds are available through Cadwyn Clwyd.
Organisations can apply for up to £3,000 for eligible costs to develop new approaches in providing support for services that address the following:
Please note, the fund cannot support the buying of foodstuffs and household provisions. However, it can fund personal protective equipment for those working in frontline delivery.
Your organisation will be able to apply for up to 100% of the project costs up to a total contribution of £3,000.
Applicant organisations will need to be formal legal entities, such as not-for-profit companies, charities or public sector and have a clear track record of providing services to the community.
Organisations wishing to participate in the project will be required to discuss their requirements over the phone with a Cadwyn Clwyd officer, outlining their project and its costs etc. Each applicant will receive assistance over the phone or email to complete the application form. Cadwyn Clwyd is keen to help you and do as much of the form filling as possible so that you, as an organisation, are not distracted from front line delivery of the essential work that you’re doing.
The application will be considered as a priority, the aim is to provide a response within 24 hours. If your project is successful, you will be informed and provided with a project officer to help with the administrative requirements of your project.

Cadwyn Clwyd project officers will also proactively assist your organisation to seek further funds from wherever possible should the need arise.
Your organisation will form part of a network of similar organisations in rural NE Wales. You will be encouraged to share good practice and lessons learnt with similar organisations where possible.
