The NEW Digital Access Project received project funding from the RDP Cooperation and Supply Chain Development scheme which aimed to reduce digital exclusion in rural NE Wales. Through a partnership approach employing 2 FTE officers, the project aimed to develop collaborative actions to enable solutions to barriers that local communities face in accessing digital infrastructure. The need for the project was further highlighted through the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on rural communities. The project actively engaged with partners, stakeholders, communities, businesses and residents to tackle digital exclusion.
